Trending Now – the sideboards you need to know about

Our regular look at what’s trending, the seriously stylish and admired by the Go Modern team.  But, most importantly, loved by our customers. Trending now: the sideboards you need to know about.

Beautiful and Practical Sideboards
Bonaldo Doppler K sideboard

This is a sideboard that was getting a lot of attention at the Milan show earlier this year!  It’s the new Doppler K sideboard, designed by Giuseppe Vigano for Bonaldo.  It’s a brand new extension to their existing Doppler range.   And it’s very well deserved attention because it’s the most stylish of sideboards. The Doppler’s asymmetrical doors are a wonderfully stylish feature. Alongside this are some brand new finishes including beautiful hard-wearing, practical ceramics with the look and feel of marble.

Contemporary Classic Sideboards
Novamobili Float sideboard

Next up, an established favourite amongst sideboards. The Float sideboard designed by Zaven for Novamobili.  It’s recessed handles and legs frame the stylish and minimalist structure. Because it’s loved by us and our customers it’s one of our contemporary classics. And importantly, it’s a sideboard with lots of choice.  It’s offered in three sizes, two heights and 21 different matt lacquered colours including the deep cascata here.

A Touch of Glass
Tonelli Design East Side sideboard

Italian glass specialists Tonelli have launched a brand new, awe inspiring sideboard called East Side. We were blown away when we first saw this on show in Milan.  Even more inspiring was the beautiful and very striking green Guatemala marble top.  Tonelli have teamed the marble with dark, smoked glass doors, allowing a tantalising glimpse of what lies inside.  There are also optional LED lights at the base to create some subtle and sophisticated up lighting.

Clean and Minimalist
Sideboards
Jesse Frame wall-hung sideboard

This is the very stylish Frame wall hung sideboard from Jesse.  Besides being one of Italy’s best known contemporary furniture brands, the company is renowned for its high quality and style. It’s look is clean and minimalist with the option of a wall-hung version. But if you are more of a traditionalist you can opt for the version with legs. The Frame shown here is in a deep Canaletto walnut but there are lots of matt/gloss lacquers to choose from. Above all, it’s simply stunning.

Challenge your Preconceptions
Sideboards
Mogg Zoom sideboard

One of our favourite smaller brands is Mogg who create furniture a little out of the mainstream. We love them for constantly challenging our preconceptions.  That’s because most of their designs are never quite as you would expect.  Their sideboard/cabinet Zoom is a great example of this. Designed by Uto Balmoral, the concept reverses the inside/outside of the design.  Take a closer look, the design has an outer ‘open’ metal frame and shelf.  Ingeniously clever… and stylish to boot.

Bontempi Casa Cosmopolitan sideboard
Small but Practically Perfect

Finally, if your space is at a premium then the Bontempi Casa Cosmopolitan small sideboard might be just the ticket. It’s got neat dimensions starting from 124cm wide x 69cm high and just 55cm deep. Which makes it one of our most compact sideboards with plenty of storage.  And the big bonus, it wont eat into your living space. It’s also offered in a huge range of finishes to suit whatever colour scheme you might have in mind.
