The Bonaldo Doge armchair is a luxury Italian armchair and part of a family of chairs inspired by the figure of the Doge, the head of government at the time of the Venetian La Serenissima Republic.
Two flaps wrap around the seat from the armrest, recalling the Doge's headgear and giving the shape a sense of distinction and authority. A 1970s aesthetic meets a thoroughly modern concept and materials, for a chair that is casual yet elegant, at home or in hospitality settings.
Available in three versions, the one shown here has a solid wood four-legged base in striking coal ash or American walnut. There is also one with a central four-legged metal base with a swivel mechanism and one with an upholstered fixed or swivel base; these two are listed separately and can be seen in the related products.
Bonaldo offer a huge range of fabrics and leathers for the upholstery, with several categories of each and a fantastic selection of colours. It is also possible to supply your own material, subject to approval. Samples are available to view in our showroom and some fabric samples can be posted to you.
