The Bonaldo Doge armchair with a metal swivel base is an Italian swivel armchair, one of a family of chairs inspired by the Doge, head of government of the Venetian La Serenissima Republic.

The two flaps wrapping around the seat from the armrest are reminiscent of the Doge's headgear. With a nod to 1970s style and a modern sense of material, it works equally well in a home or a hotel lounge.

Available in three versions, the one shown here has a central four-legged metal base with a swivel mechanism, which can be selected in a range of lacquer colours or metallic finishes. There is also one which has a solid wood four-legged base in striking coal ash or American walnut and one with an upholstered fixed or swivel base; these two are listed separately and can be seen in the related products.

For the upholstery choose from several categories of Bonaldo fabrics and leathers in a fantastic selection of colours, or supply your own material, subject to approval. Some fabric samples can be posted to you.

Colours & Finishes

Bonaldo armchairs are available in a huge choice of fabrics, ecoleathers and leathers; including nubuk leather. Alternatively you can use your own fabric - subject to it's suitability for the design. We can also offer fabrics from Romo, or Missoni Home. The metal base can be finished in a selection of beautiful lacquer colours, or metalic finishes.

All finishes are shown in the PDF, but please note that not all fabrics are available for all armchairs.

We have samples of fabrics and lacquers at our showroom for you to come in to view or we can send specific fabric samples to you on request.

All upholstery conforms strictly to UK fire safety regulations, for overseas orders please speak to a member of our team.

We deliver throughout the entire UK & our delivery teams are always white glove, two man deliveries made in two or three hour time slots. Our delivery teams will contact you before finalising a delivery slot, & will offer you an alternative date if needed.

Delivery is to the room of your choice, & includes any assembly required, unpacking & removal of packaging - although please check your order carefully before our delivery team leave as in the unlikely event of a problem we may need to return an item to the factory & will need the original packaging to do so.
