Modular Open Shelving Systems
Modular Open Shelving Systems are designer open bookcases fixed to the wall or ceiling, with metal uprights & different combinations of shelves, TV units, desks, & cabinets, with LED lighting options. Well known systems include the iconic Airport bookcase from Cattelan Italia, Molteni's luxury Hector bookcase, Bontempi's distinctive Charlotte shelving system, & Alf DaFre's popular Antis range.
These luxury shelving solutions have become exremely popular in Italy. They look light & airy, & have multiple applications. They can be placed in the middle of a room to divide the space (they are fixed to the ceiling & floor), with a swivelling TV panel, or fixed to the wall to make a modern home office. Some can be used as walk in wardrobes (they have wardrobe specific accessories). They are also less deep than many bookcases so can be used in entrance halls or in smaller niches.
Shelves & modules typically come in a choice of fixed widths, but the height is usually customisable to the mm, & shelves etc can be placed anywhere you want, & moved around later.
Brands who have designed modular shelving systems (not all online yet) include Alf DaFre, Bonaldo, Bontempi, Cattelan Italia, Porada, Molteni, Mogg Design, Novamobili, Tonelli, & Lema Mobili but we also have other brands available for projects & trade clients. We do not have the full collection online as they are priced to specific requirements usually.
