The Bonaldo Gauss desk by Mauro Lipparini features a curved, fluid top with no sharp edges, much like the legs, which take on the appearance of metal rings with rounded corners.
Made in Italy the distinguishing feature of Gauss is the optional raised shelf, which creates a useful second level for the desk. Another unique detail to Gauss is the shape of the base, which stands in a dynamic, asymmetrical position, creating an irregular structure which lends a youthful, casual quality to the desk.
Available in two sizes, 120cm and 150cm wide, the main desk top can be in Canaletto walnut (seen here) or coal oak, whilst the base and metal details are in a range of finishes, including pearl gold.
The optional, and extremely practical floating shelf can be selected in several hard-wearing ceramic finishes and is attached to the main desk via two metal bars. It is also possible to add a round metal drawer below the desk top which can be chosen to match or contrast the base finish.
