Whether you’re seeking your next statement piece or simply reminiscing about the buzz of Milan, here’s our curated look back at the designs that stole the spotlight.
Salone Del Mobile 2024 – Designs That Caught Our Eye
Salone del Mobile 2024 offered a rich tapestry of creativity, but amidst the sea of stunning designs, a select few truly captured our attention. These were the pieces that blended technical innovation with artistic expression, balancing elegance and functionality in a way that felt both fresh and timeless. From sculptural forms that challenged convention to refined updates on classic silhouettes, these standout designs demonstrated a clear vision — one that celebrates craftsmanship, embraces versatility, and resonates with the evolving rhythm of modern living.
Bontempi Doris Chair
Designed by Pocci & Dondoli for Bontempi, the Doris armchair is a 2024 Red Dot Design Award winner — celebrated in the Design Concept: Ready for Market category. And it’s easy to see why.
Made in Italy, Doris is a study in harmonious design, blending soft, sculptural curves with a compact yet generously enveloping silhouette that invites relaxation. Its balanced proportions make it equally at home in a cosy reading corner, stylish living room, or even a hotel lobby or refined waiting area.
Customisation is key: Choose from a wide range of premium fabrics, velvets, or fine Italian leathers — including top-quality nappa — or even provide your own upholstery for a personal touch (subject to suitability). The metal base is available in both fixed and swivel options, with finishes ranging from classic dark brass or black to more distinctive tones like natural silver or rose gold.
Whether you’re seeking a statement piece or a subtle companion to your interiors, Doris delivers both comfort and contemporary elegance in equal measure — an armchair designed not just to impress, but to last.
Bontempi Bach Table
Designed by Lu.Na Progetti for Bontempi, the Bach dining table is a masterful blend of architectural structure and organic elegance. Its striking sculptural base features soft, flowing forms that play with light and shadow — creating a visual rhythm of solids and voids that feels both grounded and airy.
The rectangular tabletop is available in a range of standard and custom sizes, with an impressive array of finish options to suit any interior style. Choose from:
-
Warm wood veneers and luxurious solid wood, including the rich Heritage Walnut finish shown here
-
Durable, family-friendly SuperMarble and SuperCeramic — resistant to scratches and daily wear
-
Sleek glass tops in extra-clear, smoke grey, lacquered, or anti-scratch velvet finishes in elegant tones
The metal base, offered in four sophisticated lacquer colours, complements the top while standing as a design statement in its own right — particularly in the dark brass finish, which exudes quiet luxury.
Perfect for both everyday living and formal entertaining, the Bach table balances refined engineering with timeless style, making it a natural centrepiece in any modern dining room. Custom sizes and additional variations, including the matching Bach console table, are available through our interior design team.
As one of Italy’s most respected furniture houses, Bontempi Casa continues to lead the way in contemporary craftsmanship — and the Bach table is no exception.
Bonaldo Flac Coffee Table
Designed by Fabrice Berrux, the Flac coffee table from Bonaldo is a striking balance of elegance and artistry, offering visual lightness with rich material depth. Available in three heights and diameters, Flac is more than a table — it’s a sculptural element that elevates any modern living space.
Its signature feature is the ripple-textured fused glass top — in bronzed or smoked finishes — which captures and refracts light like the surface of still water. This top seems to float effortlessly on a delicate metal base, available in bronze or lead, complete with a handcrafted cross-joint detail that adds subtle strength and craftsmanship.
For added versatility, the medium and low versions can also be specified in wood, ceramic, or marble, offering the opportunity to mix and match textures within a room or across a collection of tables. By combining multiple Flac tables at varied heights, you can create dynamic, layered compositions that are both functional and artistic.
A standout in Bonaldo’s celebrated living room collection, the Flac table delivers refined minimalism with a twist — the kind of piece that quietly draws the eye and rewards closer inspection.
Bonaldo Liam Corner Sofa
Designed by Sergio Bicego for Bonaldo, the Liam sofa redefines modular comfort with a refined architectural edge. Italian-made and crafted with Bonaldo’s signature sartorial precision, Liam is part of an extensive seating system that balances clean geometric lines with inviting softness — ideal for contemporary, open-plan living.
This modular collection includes both linear and curved elements, allowing you to build bespoke configurations tailored to your space. Whether you’re designing a relaxed corner lounge or a statement central piece, Liam adapts effortlessly — all while retaining its distinctive, sculptural form.
Optional contrast piping on fabric versions adds subtle detail to seat cushions, backs, and arms, while clever accessories like leather magazine holders, side tables, or tray tops introduce function without compromising style.
Available in an expansive selection of removable fabric, leather, or eco-leather covers, with hundreds of colours to choose from — or even using your own material — Liam offers a truly tailored aesthetic. Sleek black metal cylindrical legs and supportive back cushions with a hidden roll bolster complete the look.
From formal to laid-back, the Bonaldo Liam Sofa is built for design flexibility and lasting comfort, making it an ideal choice for discerning homeowners and interior professionals alike.
Outdoor Highlights
2024 marked a move towards layered textures, soft neutrals, and modular versatility in outdoor furniture.
Bonaldo and Bontempi led the way with refined updates that brought indoor sophistication outdoors — perfect for modern garden living.
Mogg La Dori Storage Unit
Designed by Marco Pisati for Mogg, the La Dori storage unit is a masterclass in architectural form and functional beauty. Inspired by classical and contemporary columns, it brings rhythm, proportion, and harmony into the home — casting subtle shadows through its fluted, sculptural body.
Available in three sizes, La Dori offers versatility as both elegant storage and, in its lower form, a refined occasional table. Each unit can be customised with either a circular black metal base or a striking square plinth, lacquered to match your chosen finish — from matte goffered to high-gloss lacquer, in a palette of rich Mogg colours.
Internally, glass shelving keeps the aesthetic light while offering practical storage (with up to three shelves in the tallest version), and the door can be configured to open from either side.
Part of Mogg’s forward-thinking collection of design-led furniture, La Dori is more than storage — it’s a sculptural statement piece, effortlessly balancing playfulness with purpose.
