The Zanotta Yori-Kiri armchair by Francesca Lanzavecchia has a swivel base and is equipped with an integrated, adjustable synchronised mechanism, concealed inside the seat, which allows the backrest to swing or lock in any position.
This extremely comfortable and supportive bergere armchair has a name inspired by a Japanese sumo move that combines strength, balance, and control, the same qualities reflected in this sculptural yet inviting chair.
In the words of the designer; “Comfort is not just about softness, but also about engineering (innovation); the reclining mechanism in Yori-Kiri enables you to find the perfect position naturally, without any intrusive technical components. The goal was to create an object in which technology remains invisible, yet is clearly felt through use, turning every moment of relaxation into a wellness ritual”.
For the removable covers there are a range of fabrics to choose from in several categories in a variety of colours and shades. You can also supply your own material (subject to its suitability), or we can offer any of the Romo Villa Nova fabrics, or Missoni Home fabrics. The swivel base can be gloss lacquered in either talc, hemp, orange, algae, amaranth and black. There is a matching pouf which can be added for extra comfort.
