The Tribu Otto garden coffee table by Marc Merckx was inspired by a rhythmic ribbon pattern, often found in Italian bar counters from the 1940s. Made in Belgium Otto is available in a variety of sizes and in two different heights.
The Otto collection also references ancient architectural pillars with their typical fluted pattern. Using merely one simple element, an endless yet interesting surface can be created, not only significantly reducing the waste of precious teak wood, but creating a durable timeless design that suits many outdoor purposes and will match all of Tribu's seating collections.
The teak base is made from hand selected A-grade teak grown on plantations in East Java. The table top can be in teak to match the base; or in sabbia or scisto ceramic both of which may feature delicate veins but are scratch, UV, water and weather proof, with a delicate pattern giving a subtle, luxurious appearance.
It is also possible to choose the table top in Travertine stone which is a natural material with unique characteristics & a distinctive porous texture. It has soft, neutral tones which range from warm beige to cool grey, ensuring that every top is unique. It is stain-sensitive, so if oil, red wine, or any other liquids or acids are absorbed they will result in a permanent stain making the table a living thing that, in time, displays subtle changes in colour and even surface structure, a product that becomes more & more unique with every use.
Other pieces in the Otto collection including dining tables, a bar table & a low level dining table can be seen in the related products.
Tribu's philosophy is that the terrace and garden are extensions of the home and with years of experience, their blend of quality, simplicity and elegance is unmatchable. Click to view the full Tribu range, or to see all our other garden coffee tables and poufs please click here.
