Porada Goban Rug

The Goban rug from designer furniture house Porada is woven from New Zealand wool & Tencel Lyocell, two natural, soft-touch yarns that give it an elegant, sophisticated feel.

Offered in six sizes in warm white, it has a distinctive chequered pattern of geometric shapes and rhythmic structures - an idea reflected in its name, as a goban is the Japanese board used for the game of Go.

Yarns of varying height add depth and texture, with a 12mm high reticular weave combined with raised 45mm woven squares. The New Zealand wool fibres carry a natural lanolin underlayer that stops water & stains from penetrating the rug straight away, while Tencel Lyocell, an antibacterial fibre made from cellulose extracted from eucalyptus wood, adds a silky look and a touch of brightness. The result is a high end, versatile rug for a living room, bedroom or dining area.
