Designed by Giovanni Ponti the Molteni & C D.151.4 armchair is part of the Gio Ponti collection, an exciting project from luxury Italian brand Molteni & C to re-issue furniture created by the great Twentieth century architect and designer.

Always passionate about nautical furnishings, Gio Ponti gained direct experience in ocean liners and cruise ships, and these easy chairs were created with slight variants for these ships. Featuring an enveloping frame and comfortable armrests, it has solid wooden legs with brass leg tips.

The frame is made from solid American walnut, with a solid wood seat, elastic bands and multi-density polyurethane; with a contoured backrest made from metal crosspieces and injection moulded polyurethane filler.

Fully removable covers can be selected in a huge variety of fabrics and leathers from the Molteni&C collection, or you can also provide your own fabric, subject to approval by Molteni. Every piece in the Gio Ponti collection complies with the design and materials in the original Gio Ponti documents and each piece in the collection carries a serial number and a screen-printed signature of the famous architect as a guarantee of its origin and authenticity.

Colours & Finishes

Removable covers in fabric or leather from the Molteni&C collection, or in customer’s own fabric, subject to approval of fabric type by Molteni.

Samples of all Molteni & C fabrics and leathers are available to see at our showroom, or we can send specific fabric samples to you on request.

We deliver throughout the entire UK & our delivery teams are always white glove, two man deliveries made in two or three hour time slots. Our delivery teams will contact you before finalising a delivery slot, & will offer you an alternative date if needed.

Delivery is to the room of your choice, & includes assembly, unpacking & removal of packaging - although please check your order carefully before our delivery team leave as in the unlikely event of a problem we may need to return an item to the factory & will need the original packaging to do so.
