This console table version of Bonaldo's Geometric dining table is another award-winning design from Alain Gilles.
Geometric is a console table that changes shape depending on the observer's perspective. The concept is based on chameleon-like silhouettes, starting with the base, offering a different perception of their visual weight as you walk around the table. The rounded ends add a further graceful feel.
Available in four sizes, there are several different finish options for both the table top and base. Firstly, you can choose a table top in either walnut or oak veneered wood, or a range of finishes in either hard-wearing ceramic or marble. These table tops are combined with a painted aluminium base which can be selected in a wide variety of colours and metal finishes.
Alternatively, you can choose a console table made entirely in hand spatulated 'Clay' (see main image) which gives the table an almost sculptural look. Clay is in fact not as delicate as the name suggests as it is made from recycled aggregates and is waterproof and resistant to dirt and stains. The ceramic tops are also equally indestructible, making this a long lasting and family friendly piece.
The Bonaldo Geometric Table was a winner of the Chicago Athenaeum Museum's GOOD DESIGN AWARD for 2020. This award is the oldest design award in the world and one of the most prestigious.
