The Bonaldo One console table is a highly original Italian console table for the modern living room or entrance way, with a striking top and an unusual base.

Available in two sizes, the One console is an unexpected, unique and in some ways imperfect piece of architecture that recalls the Dolmens of prehistoric times, created by stacking irregular stones in an apparently random and precarious way - as if its elements had shifted unexpectedly away from their original position.

A barely visible opening between the curved modules of the base lets light play across the profiles of the supporting columns. The legs are so close together that from some perspectives the gap is imperceptible, creating a surprising, dynamic effect that also gives direction to the console and the space around it. It was designed by the award-winning Belgian designer Alain Gilles.

Made in Italy, the One console is just 40cm deep, so it fits perfectly in narrower spaces. Choose a top in brushed coal oak, brushed grey oak or Canaletto walnut with a bronze or lead base; a top and base in brushed coal oak, brushed honey oak or Canaletto walnut; or a top and base in hand spatulated clay - a beautiful yet practical material composed of recycled aggregates that is waterproof, resistant to dirt and stains and available in several colours.

Bonaldo have been making furniture in Italy since 1936. To see their collection please click here, or click for all of our modern console tables.
