The Illum dining chair is part of a collection designed by Merckx & Maes for Belgian deign house Tribu. Tribu are a well established brand, at the top of contemporary outdoor design.

The Illum range has been designed with comfort in mind, and has drawn inspiration from classical Scandinavian design. Aluminium is used like sculpted wood throughout the collection and the soft curving back gives the chair an inviting and comfortable feel.

The seat is made from Batyline, a subtle weave, super durable fabric, as it is fast drying, dirt, moisture and UV resistant. There are three colours available, white, linen and wenge. It is also possible to choose a cushion which can be covered in a huge range of UV, dirt and mildew resistant fabrics. To view cushion colours online please click here.

Colours & Finishes

Tribu use a wide range of specialist materials including powder-coated aluminium, stainless steel, synthetic fibres, granite, ceramic and solid teak from sustainable sources. Not all finishes apply to all products, so please check the individual product options to see which of the finishes shown apply to your chosen product.

Cushions and upholstery are available in a huge selection of colours in a variety of water and dirt repellent fabrics including garden suitable velvet.

We deliver throughout the entire UK & our delivery teams are always white glove, two man deliveries made in two or three hour time slots. Our delivery teams will contact you before finalising a delivery slot, & will offer you an alternative date if needed.

Delivery is to the room of your choice, & includes assembly, unpacking & removal of packaging - although please check your order carefully before our delivery team leave as in the unlikely event of a problem we may need to return an item to the factory & will need the original packaging to do so.
