New for 2016 and exhibited at this year's Milan Salone del Mobile, the Piers Wall Mirror, from Italian brand Bonaldo, was conceived by Roberto Paoli to celebrate their 80th Anniversary.

ěPierî is another word for a wharf or jetty. In the Anglo-Saxon world, the word is also used to define areas in ports where ships can dock directly from the sea. This mirror features 3 geometrical shapes that resemble those used to create a pier.

Each shape performs a separate function: the square becomes a practical coat hanger fitted with solid natural ash wooden knobs; the circle is a mirror; & the rectangle, a convenient storage shelf.

By combining & overlapping these decorative elements the mirror becomes both useful and playful, capable of playing its 3 roles (usually allocated to several different objects) lightly and harmoniously.

Seen here with the shelf in yellow and the wall hanger in anthracite grey, there are three other matt lacquer colour combinations available.
