Romo fabrics are a stalwart of the British interior design industry, with over 122 years of experience - they were established in 1902. They have their finger firmly on the pulse of what is currrent, & their fabric collections range from subdued & classy to avant-garde, with everything in between. 

The Romo Groups has several different brands, all with various strengths

• Romo Fabrics - Versatility is the keyword here. They have rugs & wall coverings as well as an enormous library of fabrics for all applications, including outdoor fabrics.
• Black Edition - Fusing art with design, their luxury fabrics & wall coverings are richly patterned & beautiful quality. 
• Kirkby Design - Up to the minute patterns & colours. Contemporary, sophisticated & bold.
• Villa Nova - Practical & co ordinated fabrics & wall coverings, with a wide variety of 'Easy Clean' fabrics which are fantastic for those with pets or young families.
• Zinc - Experimental & contemporary, with metallics & strong patterns, combined with leading edge textures
• Mark Alexander - Classic luxury for high end interiors

We have a large choice of fabrics from the Romo brands - because our luxury furniture is made in Italy, & unless a fabric has been treated with Fire Retardant chemicals, or is 75% or more natural fibres it can't be used on upholstered furniture in the UK. The EU (in fact the rest of the world) has different fire retardant standards for both the foam/fillings & the covers, so many practical fabrics with a higher percentage of non natural fibres aren't suitable. 

Buying furniture directly from Italy that doesn't have the UK FR label will void your home insurance, but as these standards apply to the UK only the fabric choices available are limited in Europe. In the UK fabrics are treated & labelled FR & non FR & are treated here before being sent to Italy.
