Romo Black Ikulu is a textural delight of upholstery fabrics that boasts sophisticated weaves with an almost luminous tactility that exudes quality and originality.
Ikulu fuses intriguing textures, from boucle weaves to chunky chenille and knitted ribbon yarns, with a combination of matt and shine with glimpses of unexpected lustre revealed within the threads. Rich ochres with flecks of silver sit with midnight blue and bright copper hues, which are balanced by tonal tinges of calm teals, charcoal, blush, and neutral shades.
Perfect for upholstered pieces & soft furnishings, as well as curtains & blinds, there are six different designs to choose from each available in several colours & with slightly different characteristics & suitability's. Koso. Kiriko, Oti all have very high Martindale ratings making them ideal for extremely high use & contract pieces. Whilst Ikulu, Luxi & Ruba have slightly lower Martindale ratings more suited to home use. Luxi is also Oeko-Tex 100 Certified meaning it is completely free of harmful substances
You can choose each fabric in FR & non FR versions & the widths vary slightly depending on the design. Other Romo fabrics can be seen here & in the related products.
Most of our luxury Italian furniture has removable covers & the option to use C.O.M instead of the manufacturers fabric - useful as many Italian fabrics don't meet UK fire retardant standards, meaning options can be limited. Using the wrong fabrics & non UK FR foam can void your home insurance, & of course in a contract setting is simply not an option.
We offer this & our other fabrics as part of our interior design service, & will arrange the fabric to be shipped to Italy (where the covers are made) or will specify it for curtains, blinds & bespoke pieces - headboards for example.
