The Koster Console Table from luxury furniture house Porada is made to sit behind or next to a sofa, with two shelves in solid ash on a bronzoro metal frame.

The Koster collection takes its inspiration from the thousands of islands of the Stockholm Archipelago. The idea was to encase a precious material in a wrapper, so each piece echoes the Swedish islands, wrapped by rocks and surrounded by sea.

The solid ash can be left natural, stained in several finishes, or matt lacquered in a range of colours, and the feet ends of the frame are in brushed bronzed brass.

The top shelf can also be chosen in Rock, a laminated porcelain made by wet-grinding clay, granite and metamorphic rock with ceramic pigments. The result is a very hard-wearing compacted finish that is colour and shine proof and resists stains from coffee, wine, oil and lemon.

Shown with the Abacus modular sofa, Koster suits any of Porada's sofas and armchairs. The Koster side and coffee tables from the same collection are in the related products below.
