Molteni Phoenix Garden Sofa

The Phoenix sofa from Molteni comes in two sizes, with a minimal, contemporary style resulting from a careful study of ergonomics to create a supremely comfortable luxury garden sofa.

The seat, sofa back and sled base are a burnished aluminium band in one continuous stroke, slender and light from the side. Aluminium weighs significantly less than iron, so even generously sized pieces are easy to move.

The seat back and armrests are woven in handmade polypropylene rope, reminiscent of the Mediterranean tradition of baskets and panniers, in anthracite, olive green or desert yellow.

Cushion covers come in several categories of fabric including the Musco collection developed with Limonta Spa: seven monochrome or striped jacquard and bouclé yarns inspired by shades of nature, which can be combined to match or contrast. You can also provide your own fabric subject to approval by Molteni.

Two seat cushions are standard; for correct ergonomics Molteni also suggest adding two seat back cushions - see drop down menu.

The Phoenix garden range, which also includes two chairs and coffee tables, is part of the wider Molteni&C Timeout collection, where metal predominates, softened by intertwined rope backrests - a story in which "timeout" becomes a well-deserved reconciliation break with outdoor spaces.
