Molteni Phoenix Garden Armchair

The Phoenix armchair from Molteni has a minimal, contemporary style, the result of a careful study of ergonomics to create a supremely comfortable garden armchair.

The seat, back and sled base are a burnished aluminium band in one continuous stroke, so from the side it looks slender and light, with a sense of dynamism. The seat back and armrests feature a beautiful woven pattern in handmade polypropylene rope, reminiscent of the Mediterranean tradition of baskets and panniers, in anthracite, olive green or desert yellow.

Cushions come in several categories of fabric including the Musco collection developed with Limonta Spa: seven monochrome or striped jacquard and bouclé yarns inspired by shades of nature, which can be combined to match or contrast. You can also provide your own fabric subject to approval by Molteni.

A seat cushion is standard; for correct ergonomics Molteni also suggest adding one back cushion - see drop down menu.

The Phoenix range, which also includes a similar chair without arms, sofas and coffee tables, is part of the wider Molteni&C Timeout collection, where metal predominates, softened by intertwined rope backrests - a story in which "timeout" becomes a well-deserved reconciliation break with outdoor spaces.
