Currently on view in our London Showroom, the Molteni & C Ribbon storage bed has a practical and easy to lift up base, even when the bed is fully made up, which opens to reveal a useful dust-free storage area.

Designed by Vincent van Duysen, the Ribbon storage bed is a fabulously soft upholstered bed with a young, modern design created using natural materials. Part of luxury Italian furniture brand Molteni& C's extensive collection of contemporary bedroom furniture,

The Ribbon bed takes its name from the intricate leather ribbon detailing that runs all the way round the headboard and bed and serves both a structural and an aesthetic purpose. The tall and softly padded headboard makes Ribbon a highly contemporary piece, suitable for even the most discerning of customers.

For the upholstery you can choose from Molteni's huge collection of fabrics and leathers in an amazing variety of colours and textures, not all of which can be shown here. For more information please contact our design team who can send samples and discuss all the options with you in more detail. You can also provide your own fabric subject to approval by Molteni.

The incredibly practical base opens in two ways, either with a swing mechanism for easy access to the dust-free storage area, or as a horizontal lift which allows for extremely comfortable bed making.

Colours & Finishes

Upholstery in fabric or leather from the Molteni & C collection, or in customer’s own fabric, subject to approval of fabric type by Molteni. The leather ribbon detail is in Cat L as standard, please list the colour you require in the order notes. Covers are very difficult to remove, we recommend that you ask a professional to do this for you.

Samples of all Molteni's fabrics and leathers are available to see at our showroom, or we can send specific fabric samples to you on request.

Feet are in anodised aluminium with floor slides in non-slip plastic.

Care and Usage: All of our storage beds have been designed to make them easy to open and close, even when combined with the full weight of a mattress and bedding. To keep the pistons in proper working order, the recommended mattress weight for the design should not be exceeded, please Contact Us for further details.

Assembly is included. We deliver throughout the entire UK & our delivery teams are always white glove, two man deliveries made in two or three hour time slots. Our delivery teams will contact you before finalising a delivery slot, & will offer you an alternative date if needed.

Please Note: Bed slats are made as standard with a single, rigid mattress sized frame & can not have split slats. If you have access restrictions (narrow stairs etc) please contact our team.

If access is via a lift or stairs please check dimensions carefully. We cannot accept returns if access is not possible. We may need to add a delivery surcharge, for example where access takes longer than normal, requires more than 2 people, or where a crane/hoist is required.
