The Molteni&C Augusto sofa by Vincent Van Duysen will look good in any interior setting as it has a timeless aesthetic created by combining soft, upholstered seating with a sophisticated metal frame.
In conceiving the Augusto sofa, Van Duysen started with the idea of total comfort and softness, meticulously examining the ergonomics of the body in relation to the seating and backrest. The sophisticated metal frame that forms the base of the structure runs along the perimeter of the sofa, emphasizing its volume and giving it a light touch. To further enhance Augusto’s unique silhouette, elegant piping has been added which runs around the cushions and seat back.
The frame is composed of solid wood while the padding is made of high-bearing, variable-density polyurethane foam, ensuring maximum comfort. The seat cushions are made of high-firmness, variable-density polyurethane foam and recycled polyester fibre. The painted aluminium base rests on the ground thanks to aluminium feet with non-slip tips.
For the covers you can choose from the any of the fabrics and leathers from the Molteni&C collection, or you can use your own material subject to approval. The piping can be selected in several colours including anthracite, olive green, beaver, saddle leather or mouse grey, allowing you to elegantly customise your sofa’s aesthetic.
Augusto is available in two seating depths 100cm and 116cm and four different widths; 185, 205, 235 or 270cm, plus an island element which has a depth of 150 cm - offering maximum flexibility and versatility to adapt to any living space. The deeper element creates a chaise longue style seat. For optimal ergonomic comfort Molteni recommend adding at least one or more backrest cushions depending on the size of sofa.
