Aletheia by Alberto Fusco

Aletheia by Alberto Fusco is a unique piece and is part of our new collection of modern art.

Aletheia is a wall sculpture made up with folded and manipulated paper. The intricately folded paper has been transformed into colourful textural geometrical forms becoming a sculptural piece in its own right. It has a white box frame and is signed by the artist.

Each artwork is treated with a UV light medium that stops the colours from fading. A final coat of varnish seal the surface to keep the dust, dirt, moisture and pollution out.

Alberto says; "My artistic practice revolves around giving life to artworks by utilising recycled magazines that would otherwise be discarded and thrown away. This practice is particularly relevant in a society that is only now coming to terms with sustainability of the planet for future generations.

This theme of giving a new life and purpose to objects that were once unwanted and unnecessary is relevant to me and my work and complies with my vision of transforming everyday objects into artworks that invite the viewer to see beyond its original source".
