‘Mappa Mundi New York’ by Ewan David Eason has been created using Black UV ink on a brushed gold panel, spotlighting the architecture and development of New York City through simple line and block colour.

While being a direct, birds-eye plan of New York, the use of singular block colour and the decorative nature of gold, transforms this city map into a fractured piece made up of line and geometric shape. Through his interest in exploring the paJerns present in cartography, both man-made and organic, Ewan is able to create abstract images out of rigid reality.

This piece is an edition of 15, at 104 cm diameter. Every edition comes with a subframe on the back for easy wall attachment.
