Kristjana S Williams’ ‘Hringlaga Forest – Heron & Zebra’ is a painstakingly hand-cut paper collage, in which nature is layered upon nature in a striking composition, combining Victorian engravings and illustrations with exotic flora and fauna, to create individual universes of imagined histories and otherworldly environments. 

90cm in diameter, and 11cm in depth, the ‘Hringlaga’ scenes, literally meaning ‘Circular shaped’, are self-contained fantastical globes, which display Kristjana’s perfectionism in her craft, and lavish imagination as an artist.
