The Glas Italia Compression table by Philippe Starck is part of a striking series of rectangular dining tables defined by the interplay of transparent glass, solid wood, and polished metal. The table features a 19mm transparent glass top supported by a base in 24mm tempered transparent glass, creating a sense of visual lightness and structural clarity.

At the heart of the design is a solid oak beam, crafted from a single thick piece of wood. It traverses inclined, edge-cut holes in the glass base sheets, uniting and supporting them with precision. Polished chromed metal wedges are inserted into tapered holes in the wooden beam, anchoring the glass elements securely and ensuring maximum stability and solidity.

For the oak beam there are two refined natural finishes to choose from; deeply brushed & wax-finished or charred through a traditional heat treatment. The feet and top supports are crafted in polished chromed metal, adding a final touch of refinement to this seamless composition of materials.

Available in six different sizes this stunning table will certainly create a talking point in any dining space.

We deliver throughout the entire UK & our delivery teams are always white glove, two man deliveries made in two or three hour time slots. Our delivery teams will contact you before finalising a delivery slot, & will offer you an alternative date if needed.

Delivery is to the room of your choice, & includes assembly, unpacking & removal of packaging - although please check your order carefully before our delivery team leave as in the unlikely event of a problem we may need to return an item to the factory & will need the original packaging to do so.

For larger/very heavy items please check access/dimensions when you order, & let us know if there is a lift/stairs. If we have notice we can arrange an additional delivery team, or even a crane/hoist - both an extra cost, but will charge for deliveries not made due to access restrictions.
