The stunning Cattelan Italia Wanted floor lamp by STC Studio can be selected in either Verde Pavone or Ambra coloured glass and is made using the ancient Balloton technique, typical of the craft tradition of the Venezia glass masters.

The elements of this balloton lamp are characterised by a three-dimensional pattern of crossed rhombuses, obtained from a metal mould. The points inside the mould, following the blowing process, mould the molten glass and create the typical facetted effect of balloton work.

This optical effect is simply spectacular and is further accentuated by the shading of the coloured glass with the light reverberating through the ripples giving a soft, delicate effect.

To create the lamp several different lampshades are placed on top of each other, encircled by transparent rings, which seem to be holding a malleable and flexible material, rather than the hard crystal. Such is the grandeur of hand-worked glass it provides a gracefulness to the cold, rigid material. The light is controlled & dimmed via a foot switch.

Please also check your item carefully before throwing away packaging - in the unlikely event of a fault we will need the packaging to return it to the manufacturer.
