WASSILY CHAIR
The Wassily Chair (1925) was inspired by a mid nineteenth century folding chair used by the British army officers on campaign in India.
Designed by one of the fathers of Modernism, Hungarian architect & furniture designer Marcel Breuer This humble design has lost none of its startling revolutionary appeal after more than three quarters of a century, and remains an endearing and enduring icon.
Made by Alivar this is an exceptionally high quality version of the Wassily chair, and is suitable for both private & contract use.
The frame is chrome plated steel, & has slings in hide, cow skin, or canvas & hide combined, in a number of different colours.
