NOGUCHI CYCLONE DINING TABLE
Isamu Noguchi (1904-1988) is one of the most celebrated sculptors and designers of the 20th century. The son of an America writer and a Japanese poet, he spent his childhood in Japan, returning to America. After receiving a scholarship he worked in Brancusi's atelier in Paris before embarking on his own diverse career
The design for the Noguchi Cyclone dining Table was first conceived by Noguchi in 1953 evolving into a small table that became a companion piece to the Bertoia wire children’s chair. At the suggestions of Hans Knoll, the Noguchi dining table was enlarged to full size in 1957.
Our superb version of the Noguchi dining table consists of a column of polished chrome plated steel wires set into a black laquered cast iron base. The top is made from 12 layers of marine plywood covered in high pressure plastic laminate.
Made in Italy, this piece is exceptional quality. The top is available in either black or white.
