NOGUCHI COFFEE TABLE
Made in Italy, our superb version of the Noguchi coffee table is, just like the original, made from just three pieces, a tempered 19 mm thick glass top and two curved solid wood legs that interlock to form a tripod for self-stabilising support, & is available with either a Black or Walnut stained solid Ash base.
Isamu Noguchi (1904-1988), son of an American writer and a Japanese Poet is one of the most celebrated sculptors of the 20th century. His works traversed the boundaries between fine art and applied art, between Western modernism and Japanese aesthetic, and between the natural and industrial worlds.
Since the Noguchi Tribeca Coffee Table was first introduced in 1948, it has become one of the most distinguished pieces of furniture of the last century. This table offers its owner a structure that is both sculpture and furniture.
Please note, our Noguchi coffee table is a high quality Italian reproduction, & is not made in the far East unlike most Noguchis. These differ vastly from the Chinese versions - we have seen both & the pictures on our website are pictures of the table we sell - & the one you will be sent.
