Made in Italy, our incredibly high quality version of the Barcelona chair has the same dimensions as the original, & is covered in beautiful Italian leather available in two different grades), with individually stitched squares, hand stitched buttons, concealed zips and full leather straps, on a grade 304 polished steel frame.
Among the most elegant and imposing of the chairs designed by German designer Ludwig Mies van der Rohe (1886-1969) is the opulent leather Barcelona Chair. The Barcelona chair was developed for the German Pavilion at the 1929 International Exhibition in Barcelona , & as the German Pavilion was to be the setting for the official opening ceremony, Mies decided upon a throne-like form for the chairs and modeled them on the sella curulis, an ancient stool used by Roman magistrates.

The difference between this & our other version is the quality & finish of the metal frame, and the fact that this chair is available in a multitude of leather colours, fabrics, or can even be covered with the clients own fabric (minimum order of two).
